Important Notice: Arizona AHCCCS Disenrollment

Reader

I hope this email finds you in good health and spirits. We are reaching out to you today to bring to your attention an important matter related to your healthcare coverage.

As you may have heard, the Arizona Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) has implemented a new disenrollment policy. Under this policy, starting April 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023, AHCCCS will be removing individuals from their healthcare coverage if they fail to meet certain eligibility requirements.

We understand that this news may cause some concerns for our clients, and we want to assure you that we are here to help. We recommend that you take the following steps to ensure that your AHCCCS coverage is not affected:

  1. If you are currently enrolled, make sure your mailing address, phone number, and email address on file are correct in Health-e-Arizona Plus or call 1-855-HEA-PLUS (1-855-432-7587) from 7am-6pm Mon-Fri. Additionally, members can sign up for text or email alerts from AHCCCS at www.healthearizonaplus.gov.
  2. If you get a notice requesting information from AHCCCS, make sure to respond.
  3. Check your eligibility status: You can visit the AHCCCS website to verify that you are currently eligible for healthcare coverage.
  4. Submit required documentation to AHCCCS, please do so as soon as possible to avoid any potential disenrollment.
  5. Contact us for assistance: If you have questions or concerns about your AHCCCS coverage, please do not hesitate to contact us at 602-253-6259. We are here to help you navigate this process and ensure that your healthcare needs are met.

Please note that this disenrollment policy applies to all AHCCCS plans including the Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS)

We want to remind our clients that having access to quality healthcare is essential for maintaining a healthy and happy life. We encourage you to take the necessary steps to ensure that your AHCCCS coverage is not affected by this new policy.

If you find yourself no longer eligible for AHCCCS Medicaid due to income you will be redirected to healthcare.gov You can also appeal the disenrollment and those details will be on your disenrollment notice.

Focused Family Services does accept several commercial plans and services can be provided based on a sliding fee scale for private pay.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, and please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any assistance.

Best Regards
